Disneyland

Santa gave all of us a trip to Disneyland, so we left after Christmas. We went to San Diego to see my Grandma our 1st day. Then 3 days at Disneyland. Rounding it out with a shopping trip in LA (here and here).

Ramona was less afraid of Mickey this time but still hugging on Daddy.

We had a “magic morning” our last day there (because we couldn’t talk ourselves into waking up early any of the other days). We got there 10 minutes before it officially opened to everyone else instead of the hour before that we could have had. We basically walked up to It’s a Small World which was great because the park was so busy. The line was hours and hours long for small world the night before. Yikes. Halfway through the ride Ramona looked at me and said, “They dolls mommy.”

The two gooses. Who knows what they were up to.

The Christmas lights were amazing. They didn’t have the fireworks all 3 nights we were there for unexpected reasons. We did see them on our way back from LA. Better luck next time.

Princess Aurora’s castle all lit up. Of course, Ramona is really into castles. She thinks big houses are castles. It’s also her standard for movies. Castle? Yes then I’ll watch it. No then meh.

California Dreaming

The day after christmas, we loaded up and flew to California. When we landed we decided to drive straight from John Wayne Airport to San Diego to see some of Amber’s family.

The weather was wonderful and the drive down hwy 5 from Anaheim to San Diego is beautiful. Above is a shot we snapped while we were driving.

We got to see a lot of Amber’s family. Ramona had so much fun playing with all the kids that she balled when we loaded up to head back to Anaheim that night (rough life right?). We wish we would have had more time to spend with everybody, but we’re glad that we got to see them at least for one day.

Christmas 2011

I am going to apologize in advance for the lack of Christmas pictures we took. Sorry. Santa brought Ramona lots of art supplies this Christmas. She loves to paint and color, so she loved it. She also kept asking to paint. Definitely got tired of opening presents though. She was ready to play with them.

Nick’s parents came over for Christmas breakfast. Nick made huevos rancheros with carne asada. He even did homemade tortillas. (He knows the way to my heart.) Lolli and Pops brought Nona a yellow mini cooper. It was really funny watching her figure it out.

We headed to my parents for lunch. I really didn’t take any pictures over there because that’s my sister’s thing! So here are basically the only ones I have. Ramona and Macie opening up a present. My parents got them matching outfits and a college fund (which is awesome)! It’s been a goal of ours to give Ramona and all subsequent children enough money to not have any student loans, so we are so thankful for that gift. She has a gerber grow up plan from Nick’s parents that was started when she was born too, so she is well on her way. (I don’t even want to know how much college is going to cost in 16 years.)

Ramona hugging her Dora mermaid doll that Uncle Cody got her. Also check out her super cute felt flower clip made by my friend Laurie.

Santa also left us all tickets and flights to Disneyland. Oh Santa you’re so thoughtful.
