Valentine’s Treats for the Kids

DIY-Valentines-Treats-and-Printable

I was sort of regretting my pledge to handmade gifts this week. I really wanted to buy some store bought Valentine’s for Ramona’s class and call it a day. I trudged on through in order to avoid public humiliation.

I got the idea from my sister last year who I got it from Pinterest, so it isn’t anything original. I needed to make 17 goodie bags for a class of 3 year olds. Sorry moms I sent candy under the cheesey Valentine’s saying of “Sending you lots of Bear Hugs & Kisses.” You can thank me later when you eat it.

Basically Teddy Grahams and Gummy Bears mixed with Hersey’s hugs and kisses (the carmel kind because they are the best part about Valentine’s Day).

Ramona was beyond excited to make the bags. Once we started I had a lot of fun putting them together with her. She was counting and tasting. Of course she said she hoped everyone in her class was bad, so she could eat all the candy. I have the funniest child ever.

Nick made the cute tag (free download here) because that’s what he’s good for. (Just kidding baby. You have lots of skills.)

When I dropped Ramona off at school, she ran up to one of her friends, hugged her, and said I brought lots of treats for you and all my friends. Quite the change from when we were assembling them. Seriously we have the sweetest girl.

Happy Valentine’s Day friends! Hope it’s the best yet.

Haha thanks! She is a total doll. It was actually incredibly fun to assemble them with her. Maybe next year she will be able to sign her name on the tags!

  3. There is seriously a fantastic idea and I love that tag! They came out terrific. My son also loves to do assembly line stuff like this where I set up the whole thing and stuff bags or whatever the craft is. I think it’s such a great way to spend time with your kid :)

  4. The treats and Ramona are both super cute!

  5. This is adorable. I wish I was 3 years old and in her class so I could get some bear hugs and kisses. And her comment about the kids getting into trouble cracked me up. Hilarious child.

I definitely ate 1 of the left over bags. I’m not shamed it was good. Ramona is hilarious and definitely sneaky. I’ve got to watch out for her. She’s guaranteed trouble in the years to come.
