March Goal Check

Alright here goes another round of goal checking here at la casa.

1. Complete at least 1 crafty project per month.

Although most of the work for our nook chairs was done in February (piping & cushion), they were officially complete in March. I color blocked 8 bentwoods for the formal dining room. This is by the far the most exciting project for me. We ombred a dresser for the Pinterest Challenge. I sewed lined and pleated drapes for the formal dining. I’m pretty amazed that we’ve knocked out 4 significant projects around here in just 1 month.

2. Read at least 1 book.

Well I finished my February book…at the very end of March. It is a great book, but nonfiction takes me forever to read. Pink defines 6 right brain aptitudes then includes portfolio activities that you can do to exercise the right side of your brain. That was probably the main reason why it took me forever. I wanted to soak up all the information in the portfolios. Seriously a great read. Check it out.

3. Do more fun things with Ramona.

Yeah for ice cream. Little known fact my child eats the bottom of the cone before her ice cream is finished. I have no idea where she got that. We’ve had play dates about once a week this month which has been awesome for both of us.

4. Journal everyday.

I decided that instead of continuing to admit that I play catch up on my journaling every month I figured I’d share the best entry of the month. Drum roll please…Ramona calls her doll “baby sister.” (I know it’s sad. The kid needs a sibling.) She put Baby Sister in time out. I asked her why Baby Sister was in time out. Ramona (very matter of factly) responded Baby Sister pinch me. Of course the story changes every day (yes putting Baby Sister in time out is a daily thing now) sometimes Baby Sister hits Ramona in the face…oh goodness I hope this isn’t a sign of things to come.

You guys are so ambitious! Way to go! The furniture looks GREAT and good for you for reading 1 book a month. That’s awesome. Ramona is so funny. What an imagination! I laughed when I read that her baby doll pinched her. Priceless.

Thanks Krissy! I am behind 1 month in the book department. I wonder if I’ll be able to catch up and read 2 in April. I’m not going to hold my breath. Yes that girl of ours is crazy full of imagination. She literally picks up on everything we say and do. She was telling me “don’t even think about it” the other day. Um she’s not even 3 why do I already feel like I’m dealing with a teenager?
